I have a question regarding posting watermarked images from IS on my forum.


Every month we have one thread in which members share their latest uploads, and can receive comments. You can see example here:

I have read somewhere that IS does not allow isage of watermarked photo on other sites.

Some of my members are exclusive IS contributors and some are not



My question is: Is above usage allowed?

I consider it portfolio showcase, but I wanted to ask and know for sure.

Thank you very much for your message.



That is correct,  The use of an watermarked comp/image indicates that
the file has not been purchased/ licensed legally.  I understand that
the artists that are posting on the site are the creators of the images
however, they need to use their original image   with or without their
own watermark(not istockphoto's watermarked) to avoid any legal issues.
 The use of  istockphoto watermark on other site is prohibited



 Exclusives or non exclusives are allowed to showcase their works on a website
